Biography

Born in Manhattan and raised in Texas, Cinzi Lavin began studying piano at the age of five and was working regularly as a paid performer by age 16. She is the award-winning creator and producer of three full-length original musical dramas, three novels, and numerous theatrical works.

Her professional background includes experience as an actress, singer, theatrical producer, instrumental performer, choral conductor, educator, writer, and composer.

In 2010, she performed by invitation at the White House.

Besides numerous state and national honors, she is a recipient of the Yellow Rose of Texas award for exceptional charitable contributions and volunteerism, and for artistic achievements towards improving the present and building the future. In 2020, she was honored with an award from the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR) for her influence on American culture and she has been voted into the National League of American Pen Women for distinction in both Letters and Music. She is a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
